Jimmy Siemers was inducted into the NCWSA Hall of Fame in 2020 due to his amazing skiing abilities during his time at Arizona State University.
He set the collegiate record for tricks at 6,820 points at All-Stars in May 2005 at Beaver Lake, Ahoskie, North Carolina. The record lasted until All-Stars in 2014 when Dylan Schaffer broke his record.
As a freshman, Jimmy was on the 2001 NCWSA National Champion Arizona State University team. At the tournament he tied for first in tricks and took second in jump, he also skied the slalom event and took 8 overall. In his sophomore year (2002), ASU lost at Nationals by under 100 points, Jimmy again took the tricks championship, while also adding the jump championship, and a men’s overall championship (he tied for 4th in slalom). In 2003, Jimmy again claimed the tricks championship at Nationals, and finally in 2004 he won the title for a complete sweep of trick championships during his collegiate skiing career.
He accomplishments a lot at Arizona State University while skiing all three events, compiling 4 trick titles, 1 jump title, and 1 overall title across his career at four NCWSA Nationals. Furthermore, he’s the trick skier on the NCWSA logo!
In the years following his collegiate career, Jimmy has continued water skiing professionally. He is a 3 time world record holder and 3 time world champion. He was induced into the USA Water Ski & Wake Sports Hall of Fame in 2023 for his accomplishments.
