USA Water Ski Collegiate Video Contest – Deadline May 8, 2016

Reminder: Your time to win over $400 in gear is ticking away. The deadline for the USA Water Ski Behind-the-Scenes Collegiate Video Contest is this Sunday, May 8 by 11:59 p.m. EDT! If you’ve already submitted your video, A) YOU ROCK. B) Feel free to Pat yourself and teammates on the back!

Contest details:

We want to go behind-the-scenes with you to see where you hang out, what your favorite spots on campus are, what your ski site looks like, and what makes your club the BEST club in the country! Are you up for the challenge?

What are the rules and details?

  • Must be an affiliated USA Water club
  • Create a 1-minute video showing off what your club is all about – What do you like to do? Where do you hang out together? What’s special about your site? Give us the behind-the-scenes peek at who you are!
  • Must reference USA Water Ski and life on the water
  • Must represent USA Water Ski and your club appropriately
  • Credit any music sources
  • Share the video directly to your club’s Facebook page + archive on your club’s YouTube channel, if applicable
  • Submissions are due May 8 by 11:59 p.m. EDT

How do we enter the contest?

  • Send an email to programs@usawaterski.org with the subject line: BEHIND-THE-SCENES!
  • Included in the email, state your:
    • Club Name
    • Affiliated University
    • Link to Video (or send via wetransfer.com)

How will the winner be chosen?

The top-three videos will be determined by the USA Water Ski Video Contest Committee based on the following categories:

  • Content
  • Entertainment
  • Creativity

The top-three videos will be voted on by the public and the winner will be announced Friday, May 13 at noon EDT on USA Water Ski’s Facebook page.

What will we win?

The winning team will receive:

  • $300 of credit to use on new Connelly water ski gear
  • 2 Pair of Hobie Sunglasses (Valued at $120+)
  • A feature on the USA Water Ski Blog
  • Shoutouts on USA Water Ski’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter

Adam Koehler

I am Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois Chicago. I earned my Ph.D. from the University of California, Riverside and Bachelor's and Masters from Marquette University. I skied collegiately at Marquette and in 2009 I received the NCWSA Outstanding Leader Award. I was NCWSA Operations Committee Chair for 7 years, and the NCWSA Secretary for 8 years.
