Brutus Buckeye reached out to The Ohio State University Waterski Team, asking to come out to our lake as a way of becoming more involved in club sports. With a drone and full camera crew, the team had a blast teaching Brutus to ski for the first time!
The Ohio State Waterski Team hosted our first annual jump clinic, which took place on September 30th. Professional jumper and OSU Alumna Riley Daulton coached skiers ranging from new members who had never hit the ramp before, to returning members jumping over 100 feet. The jump clinic was very helpful for our members, as we had all our women and men land jumps at the Southern Ohio Tournament the following weekend!
Our Alumni tournament is our biggest fundraiser of the year. Friends, family, and alumni all gather at Shortline Shores to join in a weekend of skiing. Sunday is a fun day where parents have the ability to ski and members can take fun sets such as slippery slalom. Each returning member donates an item to our auction which goes to the highest bidder. We had an amazing turnout this year and hope for even more next year.
