Team Pages Update: Recent News Added

We have added a new feature to all current (and future) team pages. All the pages now include a Recent News section. This section will automatically fill with up to three recent news stories. The linked articles are pulled from a list of published posts that contained your team as a WordPress tag when the story was published.

The feature has been added to the team page setup guide, and all published team news stories should contain your team tag (once published). We hope this feature will encourage more team news submissions. In addition to team news, recaps and other articles published on ncwsa.com may contain your team’s tag.

Having recent news on individual team pages should make the pages more robust, and the feature will provide direct links to recent activity about the team that has been published on ncwsa.com. You can see an example of the feature below, and it can be viewed within currently live team pages such as the Clemson University team page and several other team pages linked on ncwsa.com/teams.

I am Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois Chicago. I earned my Ph.D. from the University of California, Riverside and Bachelor's and Masters from Marquette University. I skied collegiately at Marquette and in 2009 I received the NCWSA Outstanding Leader Award. I was NCWSA Operations Committee Chair for 7 years, and the NCWSA Secretary for 8 years.
