NCWSA Team Rankings: First of 2018 – 9/21/2018

All of our regions have been in action and going #fullsend in 2018! Now it’s time for our initial rankings of 2018 as we are quickly approach the Connelly Skis 40th NCWSA Nationals!

Breakdown

  • Alabama debuts in the top spot for the third consecutive year!
  • University of Louisiana at Lafayette and University of Louisiana at Monroe debut in second and third respectively, the same as 2017.
  • The Midwestern and the South Central are tied for the most teams in the top ten with three each.
    • The highest ranking Midwest team is University of Wisconsin – La Crosse Water Ski Team at seventh.

Predictions

  • Similar to 2017, Florida Southern College & Rollins College are both missing from the rankings as they have yet to ski a tournament in the 2018 fall season. We expect both to bump into the top five once they make their debuts.

Adam Koehler

I am Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois Chicago. I earned my Ph.D. from the University of California, Riverside and Bachelor's and Masters from Marquette University. I skied collegiately at Marquette and in 2009 I received the NCWSA Outstanding Leader Award. I was NCWSA Operations Committee Chair for 7 years, and the NCWSA Secretary for 8 years.
