As the year of 2019 comes to an end, we would like to reflect back with those around us. We had some great national level events with 2019 NCWSA All-Stars at Swerve Watersports Center and the Syndicate Waterskis 2019 NCWSA Nationals at Bell Acqua Waterski Lakes.
Each of these reflection articles will look back with reflections from those in a specific region or those reflecting on the events of that region. To kick things off we start with the SAC, the Southern & Atlantic Coastal region.
2019 in the SAC
We loved bringing back the alumni tournament! It was a resounding success, and we hope to continue hosting many SAC Alumni Regional events well into the future.
Giving Thanks
As I reached out to many individuals in this process, many simply wanted to give thanks to all those that helped their team, themselves, their region, or collegiate water skiing as a whole.
Being allowed to contribute to NCWSA events. The energy and excitement is contagious

Collegiate water skiing, AWSA skiing and Lymanland/Lyman Hardy for providing such a beautiful site for the Alabama ski team
Dan Greene, University of Alabama
I am blessed to still be able to participate in the sport I love alongside my children and close friends.
Jennifer Wood, Clemson University Alumna & SAC Official
Many of the NCWSA skiers from Washington to Texas to Wisconsin to Georgia are grateful for their teammates that have turned into family and a close-knit community.
Thanks & Congratulations
We have many people involved in our sport that have allowed us to grow to where we are today. We would like to give thanks to everyone who has officiated at tournaments, been involved in the NCWSA, and those that have helped our teams in any way. We would also congratulate all the accomplishments that have happened throughout the year.
Congratulations to Clemson on an outstanding job in recruiting talent against some very tough schools that can offer scholarships.
Additionally, congratulations to all team organizers for their hard work as every school that participated in all the events where I worked as an individual had many skiers from many schools step up.

Shout Outs for Creating a Successful 2019!
Eileen Blaire and Ricky Kaczmarek for growing their ski teams so much (UGA and Lander), Ashley Stevens for always being so involved in every collegiate tournament, and Matt Page for always being at every SAC Tournament helping us run it smoothly and scoring
Dan Greene
Mario Krussig came to Nationals in the trick event only. When a teammate hurt his ankle, Mario stepped in to jump. Not having jumped in a month, (not even practice at nationals), he PB’d all 3 jumps, the last one by 10 feet!
Kim Bryans
I think Glenn Barnes gave Clemson some new life and spirit into the sport when he attended Clemson. His personality and hard work ethic always inspire those around him.

Mike Mosley [has] always helped the Alabama ski team to get ready for tournaments and being an official. Along with his son-in-law and daughter, Brett and Jazmine Gagner, for helping out and scoring for all of Alabama’s tournaments.
Dan Greene
Mike Mosley and Scott Snape have driven, judged, helped teams with technical set ups and have always been an important asset for collegiate tournaments. Both helped shape me into the judge and former driver I am today. They continue to push other collegiate skiers to step up and learn to judge and drive and work the tournaments.
Jazmine Gagner
Scott Snape has helped with tech support as well as officiating for collegiate tournaments for the past 25 plus years. Austin Rodgers has also proven himself as one of our top-notch drivers in the sport!

Looking forward to another great year with the SAC!
