As the year of 2019 comes to an end, we would like to reflect back with those around us. We had some great national level events with 2019 NCWSA All-Stars at Swerve Watersports Center and the Syndicate Waterskis 2019 NCWSA Nationals at Bell Acqua Waterski Lakes.
Each of these reflection articles will look back with reflections from those in a specific region or those reflecting on the events of that region. We kicked things off with the SAC, and now its time for reflections from Team Midwest.
2019 for Team Midwest
After the South Central ended the streak of Team Midwest All-Stars victories in 2018, the Midwestern Region’s team began a new streak by claiming victory at the 2019 NCWSA All-Stars tournament hosted at Swerve Watersports Center.
Giving Thanks
As I reached out to many individuals in this process, many simply wanted to give thanks to all those that helped their team, themselves, their region, or collegiate water skiing as a whole.
I am thankful for my three beautiful boys, amazing wife, and my health to keep skiing!
Cris Kodiak, Purdue University Alumnus
I am greatful for my team growth. We are becoming relevant again and I’m excited for the future.

Many of our skiers from Washington to Texas to Wisconsin to Georgia are grateful for their teammates that have turned into family and the skier that have become a close-knit community.
Thanks & Congratulations
We have many people involved in our sport that have allowed us to grow to where we are today. We would like to give thanks to everyone who has officiated at tournaments, been involved in the NCWSA, and those that have helped our teams in any way. We would also congratulate all the accomplishments that have happened throughout the year.
I am proud of and grateful for NCWSA Hall of Famer Libby Van Treese for all she done for Miami and me personally in the past!

Megan Philips is like no other. She has helped grow the team since she joined freshmen year. She puts in tons of extra time and energy to keep our team organized and make sure we take advantage of all the opportunities the university gives club sports
