The Clemson Open helped kick off our collegiate season earlier this fall, and was a huge success for the Clemson University Water Ski Team. It was hosted by Ashley Stevens (CUSki Vice President) in an AWSA format, so local skiers could participate as well.
We had many skiers make personal bests this weekend as well as having a skier who just joined the sport through instructing at Coble Ski School compete in his first ever tournament! We were even able to throw in a Slippery Slalom competition on Saturday evening where Austin Rodgers was the winner (surprise surprise) with runner ups James Webber (CUSki President) and Nellie Roberts (CUSki Co-Secretary) challenging him into 41off.
Thank you to Adam Caldwell, Kym Bryant, Allan, the Bryans, John & Parker Harris, Bob Archambeau, the Stevens, Matt Page, Chis Logan, and Glenn Barnes for allowing us to host at Trophy Lakes and for officiating a smooth tournament. The collegiate skiers loved having more than one round, and it seemed like everyone else had a fun time with our team! Hope to be able to host it again next year.
