*Sings* It’s the mosst wonderfull timeee, of the yearrrr
We’re geeking out, the collegiate ski season is almost upon us, and we’re so excited to see new faces and old friends. My favorite moment is bringing a new person to a tourney and seeing their face when we first get to a site. You jump out the car to hug friends from years past and introduce your newbs to all your favorite people. They’re wide-eyed and absorbing everything. They ski their first tournament, and good or bad, the experience is amazing. The ride home they can’t stop talking about how cool it was (until they fall asleep from exhaustion).
It’s a beautiful thing, but what needs to happen first? RECRUITMENT! Get those suckers on the team so you can have these amazing moments and build beautiful ski-families. There are a couple things you should know:
- Have a designated recruitment contact for the first few weeks of school.
- Facebook page. Instagram page. Have them.
- Make sure you have up-to-date contact information, and your designated contact monitoring and responding to message
- If you haven’t posted in 2 years, throw a couple pictures up before school starts
- Check out our latest resource, a team marketing guide with recruitment tips, social media guidance, and the best ways to amp up your team
- Have your designated recruitment contact fill out this survey for NCWSA sponsored social posts!
- Don’t forget to tag @TheNCWSA if you do something cool, and if it’s epic, submit a #TeamNewsTuesday
- HAVE FUN!
