Getting to Tri-Lakes
Please be aware that Barnett Road is closed at the Hwy 61 intersection, so you have to use the detour onto Hwy 964 (coming from Baton Rouge) to Carney Road, then onto Barnett Road. Coming from the north, you detour onto Hwy 64, then to Barnett Cutoff Road (or you can continue down a little further to Barnett Road – @Walk Ons), then onto Barnett Road to Bennett’s. Your GPS should route you via the detour.
Closest Airports
Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport (BTR) is located 15 minutes (11 miles) from the site. This is a small airport with daily flights to and from Atlanta, Charlotte, Houston, and Dallas.
Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) is located in New Orleans around 1 hour 30 minutes (84 miles) from the site. This is a medium-sized airport serving direct flights to many US states (Orlando, LA, Dallas, Houston, Washington, New York, Minneapolis, and many more) and hub airports.

Site Rules and Regulations
We will be running Nationals on two of our lakes – Lake 1 and 2. Lake 1 will run predominantly Jump and Tricks and Lake 2 will run Slalom and Trick.
The lakes are situated East/West.
Our lakes are shallow, with an average of 5ft of water down the trick course and shallow water on the drop off of Lake 2.
In order to run a successful tournament, we have implemented the following rules and regulations for the site.
- Dogs are allowed but only on a leash.
- You can bring in coolers and chairs to watch along with sunshade tents (10×10)
- No motorized vehicles are allowed. This includes Golf Carts, dirty bikes, scooters, and 4 Wheelers.
- We have a minimum amount of manpower so we would appreciate putting your trash in the trash cans provided.
- Pedal bikes are ok.
- No alcohol will be permitted on-site during collegiate nationals.
COVID-19
We advise everyone to take a COVID-19 test prior to starting their trip to Zachary, LA, to help reduce the spread of COVID.
Louisiana still has a federal mask mandate, meaning masks are required in all indoor public areas including stores, restaurants and indoor areas. Masks are required on the buses to and from the hotel back to the site on Friday night.
Concessions
We will have concessions available throughout the tournament in the form of food trucks.
Skier Entertainment/ Evening Activities

All Water skiers are welcome. Under 21 has a $5 cover to get in. Enjoy the beats of waterskiing’s favorite DJ, DJ Dirty Dan & Jared Meyer.
Friday Night: Friday Night Flight Alumni Challenge
Location: Tri-Lakes 18605 Barnett Road Zachary, LA 70791
After Collegiate Nationals concludes on Friday, we ask all collegiate skiers to please leave Tri-Lakes to return to Crowne Plaza, as all skiers will be invited back out to Tri-Lakes that evening to see some of their favorite alumni from each region throw it down on the water.
Transportation is provided for all skiers. Please gather in front of the lobby of the Crowne Plaza at 7:00 pm, buses will leave PROMPTLY at 7:15 pm.
Rules for the Bus Transportation
● No coolers/drinks onboard
● No dogs
● Must wear masks when riding the bus
● No backpacks
● No food
Onsite during the night jump we will have 2 food trucks serving dinner and snacks for your enjoyment.
There will also be beer for sale on-site for attendees who are over 21, all beer sales go to benefit the Zachary Rotary Club. Beer sales will stop at 11:00 pm.
We will start Night Jumping at 7:45 pm, following the completion of the Night Jump we will present the D2 individual podiums that have all been concluded, then the Night Jump Podiums. After all, awards have been presented, the Southern Angels will perform until 11:30 when it is time to load buses to return to Crowne Plaza. During the Night jump we ask the following:
● No one is allowed in either lake during the event
● No outside food or beverages (no coolers)
● Beer sales will end at 11:00 pm, no beers will be permitted on the buses at departure.
● Tri-Lakes closes at 11:45 pm when busses depart, there will be no loitering permitted
● No alcohol provided to minors on the premises
● All trash in the spectator area must be picked up into trash bags and cans on-site, and the tournament site must be clean for the tournament to start the next morning. Please clean up after yourself.
● All spectators shall remain on the levee in the spectator areas
● No spectator allowed on docks
● No alcohol is allowed on buses, anyone with open containers will be banned from riding transportation
● Only students are allowed on buses.
● Buses will leave promptly at 7:15 pm, those not on the bus will be left behind. ● No parking on site for students, parking on-site will only be allowed to officials, parents, and coaches.
Saturday Night: Skier Awards banquet presented by Louisiana Travel
Location: The Crowne Plaza Banquet Room
The room opens at 7:00 pm with dinner serving at 7:15
Join Us at the Crowne Plaza for the awards presentation and the Hall Of Fame awards ceremony.
Saturday Night: Syndicate Skis Skier Social
Location: The Station Bar And Grill
Directly following the awards banquet the events will move to The Station Sports Bar and Grill which is directly behind the Crowne Plaza. For the Syndicate Skis Skier Social. Please join us for a concert by Southern Angels.
